When a top sustainability executive in Thailand, Mr. Anantachai Yuraprasom, Director of the Sustainable Business Development Institute (SBDi), decides to undergo NEAT hair transplantation with Dr. Nin to permanently address hair thinning, what becomes particularly interesting is why Khun Ek placed his trust in and chose Namnin Clinic for his hair restoration journey. In this article, we would like to share his perspective, mindset, and experience with the NEAT hair transplant technique.
The Sustainable Business Development Institute (SBDi) is an organization focused on consulting, training, and developing sustainable businesses. Khun Ek has worked with the Stock Exchange of Thailand for more than 18 years, integrating ESG concepts into the strategies of listed companies and general businesses to drive sustainable growth.
Khun Ek is passionate about his work, but due to his role as a director with high responsibility, every day revolves around work, which gradually led to accumulated stress without him realizing it. Combined with genetics and lifestyle factors, he eventually began to notice his hair slowly thinning.
“My grandfather was bald due to genetics, so I thought I would be fine. I assumed it was unlikely, because my grandparents all had thick hair. But somehow I ended up being the first in the family. It started at the front, then the back. At first I didn’t think much of it, since the front didn’t seem too bad. But when the back started forming a patch, I became more concerned. When I traveled for work abroad, I would wear a hat everywhere.”
The problem began around 7 to 8 years ago, starting with an M shaped recession at the front. He tried using serums, which helped to some extent at that time, and he felt it was still manageable. However, as the thinning progressed from the front to the mid scalp, certain situations made him realize it needed serious attention.
“The moment I realized I had to do something was when I was teaching at the Stock Exchange training session for IPO companies. There were hundreds of people in a large hotel hall with a 300 inch screen. I was on stage presenting slides on YouTube, everything was fine. But when the session moved to Q&A and the camera zoomed back, it passed over the center of my head. I suddenly imagined a 300 inch screen showing my scalp like an egg yolk. Hundreds of people saw it.”
Another moment that affected his confidence even more was during a television recording. While filming, he noticed that even from a side angle, the camera clearly showed his scalp.
“At that point I felt this was no longer a classroom situation. This was public. After those two incidents, I knew I couldn’t ignore it anymore.”
After deciding to seriously address his hair loss, Khun Ek began researching treatment options, evaluating results, procedures, and cost effectiveness based on his professional experience.
“There is no such thing as high quality and cheap. There is only high quality at a fair price. That is very important. As consultants, we understand budgets and pricing structures. We know what each level of service can deliver.”
In the end, NEAT hair transplantation by Dr. Nin became his chosen solution.
“When I spoke with the doctor, I did my own research. She told me she performs the procedure herself, which gave me confidence. She also explained that hair must follow the natural growth direction. It is not just about placing grafts anywhere. It is detailed work, like art.”
During consultation, approximately 3,000 grafts were initially estimated. However, on the day of the procedure, up to 4,000 grafts were successfully extracted and transplanted, covering both the frontal and mid scalp. The procedure lasted from noon until 6 AM the next day. Throughout the process, he personally experienced the high level of precision applied to every graft.
“The doctor always specified which graft type and size to use. It was extremely detailed. It wasn’t just random placement. Every graft was carefully selected and positioned. It felt like art. It required a highly specialized skill.”
After the procedure, he also experienced the results firsthand in daily life.
“I didn’t notice any difference after 7 days. I even traveled to Chiang Mai with a head covering. But when I took it off, no one commented at all. Nobody noticed anything unusual. Everything looked seamless, as if it had always been there. I thought it was very impressive.”
From the medical perspective, Dr. Nin also highlighted Khun Ek’s discipline as a key factor in achieving good results. He strictly followed post procedure care, including medication and PHB scalp treatment, understanding that maintenance is essential, similar to caring for a plant.
“I always compare it to nature. Whether you plant a tree or anything else, it doesn’t grow just because you put it in the ground. It needs care. Hair is the same. Everything the doctor advised, like not washing hair for a week or sleeping in a specific position, I followed strictly because I believed it would lead to better results.”
“In consulting work, success depends 30 percent on the advisor and 70 percent on whether the client follows through. It is the same here. The doctor can do her part perfectly, but if the patient does not follow instructions, the result will fail.”
Eight months after the procedure, in addition to increased confidence in both work and life, Khun Ek also expressed greater happiness than before.
“From day one until now, I feel this has genuinely improved my happiness. Some may wonder if hair alone can affect happiness. For me, it can, because it removed a major concern. Once that worry was gone, everything improved.
“It is about rebuilding confidence. And now I feel confident. It is complete.”
